Default Calibration

Hey,
When I finally get my new TV, I'm wondering if it's worth getting it calibrated
I was very impressed with how natural looking the picture was when mine was done (but this was some time ago).

Which did you pick up, out of curiosity?

Do you mean which TV? I haven't bought one yet but was thinking of the LG G3. Then I read about QD-OLED which is like OLED but much brighter and I'm confused Getting carried away

The luminance brightness between TVs like the G3 and QD-OLED has narrowed. The main difference now is not brightness in itself, but the colour volume. QD-OLED can do brighter colours much better.

I'd still prefer a G3 over a Samsung QD-OLED. The LG image processing is still superior. I'd pick a Sony QD-OLED over them all (and did), but that comes at a cost.

Yes, it can definitely make a difference, especially if you're into really crisp and accurate colors. If you were impressed with the results before, it’s worth considering again. It might be a small extra cost, but it could be worth it for the best picture quality.

The LG G3 and G4 have MLA technology (or LG's version of it) which promises a brighter picture.
I'll have a look at the Sony QD-OLED
