This is all kinds of messed up, I returned 2 "8 Mile" 4K steelbooks to GRUV because twice they shipped them in bubble mailers and arrived all dented up.

I usually have decent luck with gruv and steelbooks. Out of like 50 I've ordered there only 1 cMe damaged and they ended up letting me keep it and sending me a new one for no charge.

Honestly, I like Gruv, but they’ll send this media mail with bad packaging. So, there’s a decent chance it arrives damaged. I’ve got a preorder with Fnac, which I’ll keep. Assuming the artwork is English, I’ll get it next day and probably in mint condition. There won’t be a digital code, but my iTunes copy will get upgraded anyway once they get 4K.

Never had a single issue with GRUV in over 20 orders. So no, there is not a "decent chance it arrives damaged." I would speak with your mail carrier instead.

Disagree, as I too have had issues with damaged steelbooks from GRUV periodically.

However, I don't believe they are damaged in transit to me but rather GRUV is shipping out retailer returns on certain titles, and their internal quality control isn't catching dented/dinged returns prior to their reselling them.

This has also been a problem with other wholesale repackagers/resellers who clear out overstock and returns, e.g., pleaserewindadmin and blowitoutahere on eBay.

There typically isn't a problem doing returns or getting replacements, but the lack of internal quality control at their end is annoying.

I have had great service from Gruv if there’s an issue. I just reached out to them via Instagram, and they acted quickly to get a replacement out, and even a prepaid label to send the damaged item back.

I’ve had to do this twice (1 was an extra steelbook, and the other was a damaged 4k case).

Very easy to deal with if there’s an issue, so I wouldn’t let that stop you from ordering from Gruv.
