Anyone know of this underrated gem with Kris Kristofferson and Treat Williams from 1984?

Its an HBO property, sadly they have expressed no interest in their back catalog.

Is that why we haven't seen a proper release (DVD, Blu or otherwise) for 'Long Gone'?

Yep, they also have two other titles I want them to release, The Hitcher (1986) and Ricochet (1991).

Ah yeah, I almost forgot HBO has The Hitcher too.

Terrible current DVD transfer (at least at the beginning of the film).

Would LOVE a proper Blu-ray of that.

Flashpoint is a title I would love to see on BR. Tangerine Dreams score is one of the thing that makes this a great film. I have the CD soundtrack.

Curious if this has a chance at coming out now at the very least on Blu Ray especially since The Hitcher has been given the huge 4k treatment.

I got tired of waiting for this and just picked up the DVD. Always loved this one. HBO is worse than Netflix when it comes to physical media releases of their properties. This, Fortress, The Night Flier, etc. At least The Hitcher finally got its due so that’s a start.
