Has Severin's encoding drastically improved? If not, any chance of a UK label (possibly Second Sight?) releasing this?

One of my all time favorites. Used to own the shoddy MPI blu-ray then it bronzed over on me when I wanted to rewatch it some time ago. I wanted to get the Studio Canal UK steelbook a number of times but I just never did. So I’ll be getting this and thoroughly enjoying it all over again. Makes me grin from ear to ear knowing I’ll have it in my collection once again.

Great flick, I have the Studio Canal BD/DVD combo and have watched it multiple times. If you can, go in cold. Even if you should come to learn the specific horror sub-genre this inhabits, it would kinda be a spoiler.

Tempted to get this on release and seems doubtful that the likes of Second Sight, BFI or Arrow have rights, but does anyone think we'll see a better option down the road?

Wondering if a US Blu-Ray release of the latter is finally on the way too, likely from Severin or Vinegar Syndrome.

This movie is really good! It is very dark and grim but not in an annoying "try hard" way. Am I the only one that thinks Season 1 of "True Detective" was more than a little influenced by this?

Amazing movie. Still my favorite Wheatley by far (though Free Fire rules too, and I thought In the Earth was fantastic.)

Edit: I completely forgot about Sightseers, I still need to see that one. I'd love a US Blu of it too.

What, no Meg 2 fans?

This film is definitely an experience. Haven’t seen it in awhile. It will be what I get from the Severin summer sale, very happy with this announcement. I love it when they include archival commentary.

I've never actually bought a Severin release now that I'm thinking about it. It says their Summer sale starts July 25th. Should I expect this to go up for preorder then? Do their releases tend to sell out quickly?

To think we almost got a Ben Wheatley Tomb Raider sequel.
