What device you you use to stream to your home theater? - Blu-ray Forum

I'm planning on upgrading my 2.0 setup to a 5.0 setup sometime in the foreseeable future, and with it I'm going to need to get a streaming box or stick, as while I usually just hook up my laptop to my AVR when I want to watch on the big screen, several services such as Disney+ limit PCs to only stereo sound.

I'm already in the Apple ecosystem outside of PC, so I'm probably just going to get an Apple TV, but I'm curious what other people use.

I use my PS5 for everything but Prime, which I just use the app on my Samsung TV. It is the only app that doesn't have constant stuttering and judder for Prime for some reason. The Prime app seems to update every three days on the PS5 but it is still sucks. The Roku had audio delays really bad with Prime.

For streaming I often just watch on a laptop or phone.

I'm personally in the apple ecosystem but other family members use firestick/roku. Personally, after having to set up, fix issues, and show things for those family members, I much prefer the seamlessness & UI of the Apple TV.

ATV4K is the best.

Sadly, Apple has no idea how this happened or what to do about it.
