So this is coming from Universal themselves in the UK? I was gonna import the American release but I held off.

I would imagine this 4K will mirror the US release. I know the German release has a different HDR grade, so I think it will depend on what your preference is. Personally, I'm sticking with my German steel.

Good observation. The German has HDR/Dolby Vision and the US version is HDR10 only.

There is some disagreement as to which HDR grade is "director approved". Turbine admittedly brightened theirs, whereas some deem the Universal grade too dark. So I think it comes down to a matter of personal preference. Though, the packaging on this release is nice.

Gonna take a wild guess and say this is the Turbine disc licensed by Altitude for a UK release, similar to Renfield and Barb Wire.

The US Universal release was a MOD and never got a steelbook.

It isn't. It's coming directly from Universal.

Maybe this UK 4K disc will have the same master as the American release.

Not necessarily, the USA disc had authoring outsourced to Allied Vaughn MOD, possible this one could be done by Universal themselves.

Any chance this has Dolby vision and this isn’t so dark like the American release?

Has anyone tested this to see if it's the same as the Universal or Turbine release? The US release from Universal was atrocious.

Not with all those ugly ratings logos. I was hoping for a US steelbook release
