Do we know the label that is releasing this in France? EDIT: Metropolitan is the label. How are they?
In Germany it's Mubi, which seems strange and I don't know anything about their encodes.
Anyone care to chime in?

preordered, but i dont like Metropolitan, i have two of their releases. no other menu and subtitle language options and the blu-ray disc is always region locked..

I'd pick it up at the FNAC in town, if that version had English subtitles.
I wonder why so many French versions of films in English language don't have English subtitles, it's depressing.

I don't recall the thread, but someone posted a way to get and sync your own subtitles.

It's not too hard, but if memory serves I think it requires having USB access on one of your devices.

Also, anyone know if the inside art for this has posted?

In this case, I'm guessing because it's a Metropolitan release and I don't ever recall seeing English subtitles on their discs. If it had been StudioCanal then you'd have been okay.

Just grab it, then switch out the discs later when the movie goes on sale.

That is not entirely correct. There are very few players that actually can sync subs from a usb stick to a Disc. Custom Firmware on my Panasonic 820 or the Oppo udp203 are some of the few I know.
