Germany Suspiria 4K UHD (2018)

These two Koch releases (28.3.2019) were just brought to my attention:

https://shop.kochmedia.com/shop/de_D...ILM&id=1032437
https://shop.kochmedia.com/shop/de_D...ILM&id=1032436

The first one should suit me just fine - especially if Lionsgate doesn't bother.

Cool stuff, I was beginning to think that this might not even get a Euro 4K release so i'm glad it's coming.

One viewing was more than enough. Too much, in fact.

Haha, you thought it was that bad?

I'm a huge fan of the original (it's a top 5 entry matter of fact) but I know this will be something completely different. I really liked what I have seen in the trailers so this will be a blind buy for me.

Can't wait and I'm really glad it's coming on UHD!

Sounding like every other person talking about the remake, just watch it for yourself and make your own opinion. People have been incredibly divisive over it: You'll either love it or hate it. I personally loved it and actually think it works better than the original, but there'll always be people who'll call blasphemy. So just keep an open mind when you watch it I guess.

I was wondering about that. I am more a Argento giallo fan, and Suspiria never quite hit with me. I was wondering though if a revamped version might appeal (as has been the case for me with a few remakes, like Aja's The Hills Have Eyes.

I couldn't care less about Atmos and Koch NAILED IT with the Mandy ultimate edition (English subtitles included btw! would've loved a 4K tho) so I'm really excited for this 4K ultimate edition. So I think we're safe with English subtitles BUT I think we're gonna have to set them for the whole movie, rather than only getting them on the French and German portions :/ Really hope not though. No idea about HDR though, we'll just have to wait and see.

I already have the Neon Demon digibook and the 4K is on the way but if they did an ultimate edition for that I'd triple dip. I think Koch just might become one of my favorite BD studios along with Arrow and Criterion (and Artificial Eye, if you exclude a big lot of their problems).

The ultimate edition is €99 ?
Also see it has 7.1 sound listed and not Atmos which worries me, considering it also has 1080p in the description I presume it needs an update

Yes, that's what it says.

Yes, this are obviously just the BD specs. It also says region B. Their site doesn't appear to be "4K ready" yet. It's the same with Neon Demon: https://shop.kochmedia.com/shop/de_D...ILM&id=1017937

So we don't know anything about the 4K specs yet. (reg. Atmos I don't really care anyway - what I do care about is not having to deal with a Lionsgate BD encode of a (supposedly) 4K DI movie)

I hope It has HDR and Atmos, that £99 price tag must be wrong

I just have the "working man" edition, merely 4K and blu.
Don't know if that is good enough a confirmation of HDR presence (I guess it is), but when I play the 4K disc on my Panasonic the HDR signal/logo does show on my Oled.
