Default When to upgrade? LG G2 to G5?

I currently own a LG G2 77inch. no complaints, but always regretted not getting a Sony. Since then the A95L was released.
I considered trading G2 for the Sony A95L, but now that is older tech as well and appears no new model coming.

The Sony Bravia 8ii looks great, but only 65 inch and some say the LG G5 is actually a better choice.

What is the opinion of upgrading to the G5 from a G2?
too soon?
Has the tech improved enough to warrant a noticeable upgrade?

Only you can really answer that. But I'd say that if you have no complaints about your current set, why upgrade?

If it isn't broke don't fix it. G2 is one of the best sets LG ever made. I think a G5 would be a tiny upgrade. Might as well do a trade for the Sony.

I would, respectfully, disagree with this - I have the G3 and, whilst I've been very very pleased with it, two friends have recently got the G4 and the difference between the G3 and G4 is incredibly noticable. The G5 has been getting unanimously positive reviews, so I would say the jump from the G2 to G5 will be significant and worth every penny. I've actually been considering trading in for a G5, despite the fact I normally don't replace TVs for about 5 years and this G3 is only just over a year old.

If you can afford it without eating into funds for anything else, absolutely go for it.

Stop the FOMO. Stop trying to keep up with the Joneses and keep what you already have if there's nothing wrong with it.
