Superior masters on streaming

I am just wondering which superior masters are only on streaming.

Mine are the following

Home alone 2
Goldeneye
Mrs doubtfire
Con air
From dusk till dawn

Community streaming anywhere (assuming you have a good connection) usually looks better than the Mill Creek complete series Blu-ray set, which has terrible encoding. Probably the same masters, though.

It's the one I always bring up when someone says, "Blu-ray is ALWAYS higher quality than streaming!"

If you consider crushed compression, scrubbing filtering, censoring, sloppy handling and ads popping up onto the content 'superior'....

Nobody is saying streaming as a whole is superior, its just that there have been remasters that have been released digitally that are better and more fresh than ones that have been on blu-ray.

The digital copy of Ghost Stories (UK disc) that came with the BD and plays now via YouTube is better than the BD. The BD has bad banding at a number of points, which isn't present in the streaming copy.

That describes the Mill Creek Blu-ray far more than it does the 4K streaming masters.

Hah! Prove it and no, marketing hype & blurbs does not count as proof. Its been claimed from the first HD streaming with only postage stamp images to (failing) back it up.

Just Like Heaven (2005) - 4K Dolby Vision on digital to own

And digital to own do not have ads during playback.

Sword in the Stone on Blu-ray is the ultra scrubbed version that looks like it was made with magic markers. But at least as of a couple years ago, Prime had an open matte version with much of the orginal detail restored

No one is saying these newer masters, that are currently exclusive to streaming, wouldn't hypothetically look better on disc if that disc had the same new master.

Rob the Mob and Venom (2005) have blurays in the wrong aspect ration, but the correct one on streaming.

There are too many DVD-only movies to count but Dead Presidents and Bound by Honor stick out in my mind because the US DVDs aren't even anamorphic. Dead Presidents is available for purchase, but Bound by Honor is stuck only on Hulu.
