These are really interesting-looking XR shades that can play 3D movies in 3840x1080p (1920x1080p per eye). They can work as VR headsets for PCs and phones. It has spatial sound from Harman. They also support consoles, particularly the Nintendo Switch, albeit in 2D-only. It has an Android neckband base that can allow for game streaming from PlayStation Now, PlayStation Remote Play, Xbox Cloud Gaming, Steam Remote Play, NVIDIA GeForce NOW, and more. The design also looks cool, almost like something straight out of The Matrix. The mobile dock can be used to hook up to the Nintendo Switch, while boosting its graphics to Docked Mode, and also to hook up to HDMI devices like Blu-ray players or the PS3. It has electrochromic film lenses that make it easy to change brightness, and also some knobs to adjust for near-sighted people. Unfortunately, I don't know if it can output proper 24Hz for films. But it does support up to 60Hz. I also don't know what audio formats it supports, and if its spatial audio can decode Dolby Atmos and DTS:X or if it just does 7.1. |

https://www.nintendolife.com/news/20...intendo-switch Now that I've watched part of the video, it looks like I've seen those glasses on gearbest. Last edited by Jlardonio; 04-13-2023 at 09:38 AM. |

For normal 3D watching I'm still using my VR headset connected via my PC to my home theatre. But it was nice to be able to just plug the glasses into my Apple laptop, switch to 3D mode and play the movie. I have not tried them on a Windows laptop, but I had major problems watching 3D on a Windows Desktop. They also didn't work at all with my Android phone, but apparently they do work with Samsung Galaxy phones. So I can't fully recommend them for 3D viewing since they are very expensive, only support SBS and so far, they only work well with a limited set of devices. I have asked Viture to add 3D TAB support and they say they are considering it. I can recommend them as an excellent portable travel screen to plug into your Apple device. They are more comfortable than any VR device and a lot cheaper than the ill fated Vision Pro. They told me that a new pair version should be coming next year (?) so it will be interesting to see if there are any 3D improvements. Last edited by cdx47; 12-06-2024 at 08:56 AM. |

They are currently being sold for $400 on Amazon which is similar to what they cost on eBay. If you have lots of 3D SBS movies and an Apple device, or if you don't care about 3D and just want a lightweight and (for me) well fitting portable display device then they "might" be worth it. But this is the 3D thread and as I said, I can't recommend them for 3D.
