I know it'll never happen, but if they did a 4K big box set for Martyrs I could die happy.

I watched it yesterday and thought it was very good. Brutal for sure.

Felt like a play which I don't mind and it works I think better with a short running time.

I wonder why Second Sight don't seem to be including English dub options where available?

Of course the original language should always be the priority but this and High Tension both have English dubs available elsewhere, not being ported over judging by the release specs.

They are doing the right thing by not being including an English dub. Definitely getting this, has to look better than the DVD I have.

reason why there is no 4k is it was filmed on news cameras mostly which had 1080p max resolution so would require a upscale to be released and I would rather have excellent 1080p release then a upscale to 4k.

They said yesterday it’s an existing master they did some additional work on. So I assume the HD version you can rent on streaming but FIM were tagged in the initial tweet announcement so a better encode

The version I streamed had very black blacks (ie lost detail). Darker than a nun's toochus.

Be interesting to see what the Blu-ray has.

Didn’t look vastly superior to the HD version that’s streaming to my eyes. I’m sure someone will have the specs up soon but overall I found it a perfectly sufficient blu-ray presentation of a film we’ve all wanted on disc for a while. Just wish Second Sight would give us reversible cover art with the original theatrical posters on…

I watched this last night, and all the external scenes in daylight looked phenomenal to my eyes. Once it moves into the house, it's very poorly lit and dingy but looks as good as I expect it to.

Very happy with this purchase. I'd forgotten just how brutal it is. And there's one part near the end that's really annoying, nonsensical and seems horrible just for the sake of it, but I'll let the Inside virgins discover it for themselves.
