Default 2.0 Questions

I have a question, i have the Sony bdp-s300 and i also have an HD-A3, i bought both of them this holiday season.my questions is what is the 2.0 for the blu-ray everyone is talking about, from what i am gathering my player wont upgrade to it, so will i then have two obsolete High Definition players, b/c i cant afford to just go keep buying them b/c they change one or two things and were dumb enough on the blu-ray side not to put Ethernet ports on them.? Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Blu-ray player profiles explained in detail

...Movies will still play fine in the S300, its the extra material you might be missing out on. But if youre like me and 99% of the population, its a no biggie.

Yeah, when DVD first came out, I loved the special features and watched every one of them. Some movies I would buy just because of features it had, like Hollow Man. But with Blu-Ray, I hardly ever even look at what features it has, much less watch them. The only thing I can think of that I actually watched was the Doc on Live Free or Die Hard. So the newer profiles just don't really matter to me.

Actually you won't miss out on too much of the extras. I have "Sunshine" where it features PiP behind the scenes in certain scenes during the movie but it also have another option of watching those PiP scenes by themselves from the movie. With 2.0 you're able to download unnecessary commentaries that studio deemed not needed with the official title release. Also, maybe, you can play games featured on the movies in an online community based setting. But really all the good features should be with the disc and no player will be obsolete, for example your HD-A3 which will still play all your HD DUD's till it has some kind of technical failures.
