Default Children of the Night (1991)

This is one of our favorite vampire films, put out by Fangoria in '91.

There's only been DVD releases, and according to a few insiders I've asked the rights are owned by Sony. I'm putting this out into the universe: may we please have a Blu-ray or 4k release of this film from the original elements if they still exist?

Directed by Tony Randel, who did work on Hellraiser and Hellraiser 2, among others, and the cast is ALL IN. Karen Black steals every scene she's in, and the vampire 'rules' are unique enough to add a little bit of disgusting twist to the common tropes.

Pleae, let's get this one on at LEAST Blu, but fingers crossed for a 4k someday.

Anyone else love this one? Thanks, everybody!

I rented all three of the Fangoria-produced horror movies from 1991: Mindwarp, Children of the Night, and Severed Ties. Of the three, only Mindwarp was mildly entertaining to me. That's mainly because it featured Bruce Campbell and Angus Scrimm.

It would be nice for the fans if Children of the Night got a Blu-ray release. I wasn't even aware it was on DVD.

I have vague memories of seeing Children of the Night on Showtime. Was it a showtime original back then? maybe not, I sorta remember it that way though.

I vaguely recall this movie. I remember it had the guy from 21 Jump Street in it. Dom DeLuise's son I think.

It's been decades since I've seen CHILDREN OF THE NIGHT but it left an impression on me--- not sure if it's a great movie, but.... I remember it having great atmosphere and grotesque looking vampires that were pretty scary looking.... I'm all in if it gets a release!!

Is this the one with the flooded church & Ami Dolenz?

Back in the early 90s at some point, the Prince Charles cinema in London had a 'Vampire All-Nighter' of about 5 or 6 movies including this, Blacula & the UK premiere (I think) of Innocent Blood. Children of the Night was the highlight of the program for me.

I don't think I've seen it since. Not sure it ever got a proper release in the UK, even on VHS, let alone DVD.

I'd love to see a blu of it one day. Seems like a ideal pick for one of the boutique labels.

This movie together with Cameron's Closet (1988) and The Kiss (1988), I watch them as a triple feature because all are great cult classics, all are only available on DVD only and all distributed by Sony. Is it weird?
