New member - afraid to say anything

Greetings forum people!

I'm a new member and after browsing the forum for almost a month I have to say I'm afraid to voice my opinion on anything in fear of getting called a "sock" whatever that is. It looks like if you don't agree with a few of the tenured members views they deem you a sock. A community should be open to any side of a debate and not punish those who think differently is my only feedback.

Want to link some posts where you were treated poorly? I looked through all of your posts and did a cursory look at posts that followed yours and couldn't find any posts responding or quoting your post that was an attack on you.

Again, I did not read through all the posts (after) you posted, but if there was one I couldn't find it.

If you are referring to "new" members who are posting negative posts and members respond accordingly....than yes, that happens.

There are about a half dozen BANNED former members who come back regularly with "new" accounts aka "sock accounts". They will sign up several new accts at a time and use those accounts to attack/spam the forum with their past agenda/posts. Sometimes using other sock accts to "like" their posts as if they have support for their agenda from other members.

At times, it's very evident who they are...other times they lay low posting what I'll call "get along" posts....but eventually, they'll reveal who they are and go back to their old ways=the reason they got banned to begin with.

Whether you are a past member with a sock acct or an actual new member, follow the rules and I doubt you'll find a problem on the forum. If you are unsure what that conduct looks like, then read UHDLoverForever posts. He's a banned member who came back several times with sock accts....

Thanks, I didn't know what it was being referred to as. When I do have something constructive to say or add that goes against how others may feel I will tread lightly and put my opinion in a positive light! Example would be the Terminator thread where I actually enjoyed it even though it had the Ai treatment.

Yes, I wouldn't call it afraid to say anything for me other than being discouraged by limited access to what I can do.

My forum messages are short until I get used to the site and gain access to additional features.
