There's no way Universal will top the excellent package that 88 put together, but I'm glad they're putting it out for the people that don't like to import for whatever reason. Maybe they can get Wedding & Reunion done.

..... Sigh. What is with these studios' compelling need to release JUST the first film? Hmm? Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, Dirty Harry, etc etc etc.... American Pie had 4 movies, four hits, 4 that make one culmative narrative. It's like they never heard of boxsets... unless it's Jurassic Park or Fast n Furious, of course because lord knows we need three or four versions of those don't we.

Yeah I hate how these studios only release 1 movie at a time instead of a boxset. We will get one movie a year it’s going to take forever to get the rest.

Curious if we’ll see the sequels at some point as well. I was about to import 2, but I’ll hold out to see what Universal will do. It will definitely be awesome if the final two films receive the 4K treatment, given 88 only released the 1080p versions.

Yeah, for those of us that bought 1 and 2 from 88, the best that could come of this news is them eventually releasing Wedding and Reunion in 4K. 88 said it was like pulling teeth to work with Universal. Maybe Universal can make it happen themselves.

It wouldn't surprise me if American Pie ended up the comedy equivalent of Die Hard with only the first film getting a release here.

Universal likes to release the sequel a year after the previous one so we probably won't know until next year.

Pretty sure we are getting the American Pie Revealed: The Complete Story of All Three Comedies documentary which is over 3 and half hours long.

If they do 3 & 4, i'm interested. Otherwise 88 films did a superb job on 1 & 2.

Unless this adds an Atmos track, I'll stick with the 88 Films UHD.

Sweetie, do the math. 1 movie a year for four movies = 2028 for American Reunion. ❤️

Imported 1 and 2 (88). Hopefully there’s nothing in the US one that will top those.

Yeah we are 3 years away from getting all the movies on 4K that’s a long time to wait.
