Well based on some of the titles listed in this leaked schedule I see a pattern with A Nightmare On Elm Street and Blade - where they release the first one and then much later (or much much later in the case of Blade) they release the other films in the series only as part of a collection. If that’s Warners new release plan the remaining Lethal Weapons might only appear as a collection a year or so after the stand alone first one (which according to that schedule is planned for May next year).

I'm sure they'll all get a 4K release, but I never expected a set, it'll be one at a time. I'll certainly be buying them, but I do think the Blu-rays look great, still my favourite Blu-ray box set, & as usual I'll be watching 1&2 over the Christmas holidays (hopefully 1&2 in 4K at Christmas '25).

I hope we finally get all the deleted scenes as we are missing the alternate opening with Martin in the bar drinking and getting into a fight.

There are so many others we never got for the sequels too but mentioned and clips have been shown.

How trustworthy are these leaks though, because not that long ago a leak about Gremlins 2 and Lolita among other titles was supposedly leaked too.

I actually do expect a box set when popular movie franchises like this one get released. I don’t like the ham and egg it approach. Give me all of them at once.

I'd like to see the 'Director's cut' versions available via seamless branching but guess that will never happen as they were just a product of the DVD era and seem to remain that way.

A series like Lethal Weapon really should have been available in a box set alongside the individual release, I'd imagine a large proportion of the fan base would want all four movies, this isn't a Die Hard 5 scenario.

For me the DC is an interesting addition but I think it ruins the Riggs character introduction of the theatrical.

While we’re talking Shane Black related movies, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang will be 20 years old next year!
20th Anniversary 4K of that one too please Warner Bros.

I actually like the "DC" of LETHAL - the deleted scenes are legit good (unlike the cutting room floor sweepings stuck back into the sequels) and add layers to the characters. The sniper scene is great.

They'll probably do a NOES marketing trick.
First releasing Lethal Weapon in a nice shiny box and a few months later announce the boxset.

I just wonder if we'll ever see the whole of the opening scene in the bar. The snippets are nice enough (showcasing a few actors who turned up in different roles in the sequels) but it'd be great to see the whole it, which combined with the sniper scene to introduce a really damaged Riggs.

I'd love a boxset of all 4 of these. Why do they have to drip feed them out?!

Having said that, there's still the slither of a chance the proposed Lethal Finale gets made.

Because they're greedy beyond belief. Even though the series hasn't had a new installment in 26 years, its still loved by generations and WB knows that. So they're going to milk it for all its worth, as often as they can.

There was a finished script written many years ago, and before he passed Richard Donner had Mel Gibson promise to direct it in his absence. Mel has since said he will be doing his best to honor that promise; its just a matter of when.
