Default Star Wars: The Bad Batch (Animated Disney+ Series)

Quote:
Disney+ has ordered the next Lucasfilm animated series, Star Wars: The Bad Batch with a premiere set for 2021.

Clone Wars architect and The Mandalorian EP and director Dave Filoni will return for Bad Batch as EP, alongside Athena Portillo (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels), Brad Rau (Star Wars Rebels, Star Wars Resistance) and Jennifer Corbett (Star Wars Resistance, NCIS) with Carrie Beck (The Mandalorian, Star Wars Rebels) as co-executive producer and Josh Rimes as producer (Star Wars Resistance). Rau is also serving as supervising director with Corbett as head writer.

The series follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in The Clone Wars) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. Members of Bad Batch – a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army — each possess a singular exceptional skill which makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew. In the post-Clone War era, they will take on daring mercenary missions as they struggle to stay afloat and find new purpose. -Deadline

I was suspicious due to the fact that their story was not concluded in Season 7. They just took off and we never saw what happened to them.

While I would have preferred a Rebels followup with Ashoka (even though, I guess that got rolled into Mandalorian S2), I will definitely watch this.

Ten years ago a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn’t commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum-security stockade to the Imperial underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem… if no one else can help… and if you can find them… maybe you can hire… The Bad Batch.

I'm under impression we still are getting the Rebels sequel with Ahsoka, just wasn't announced I guess. I doubt Filoni will drop a big cliffhanger in regards to Rebels' Main character and not answer that.

At this point I'm actually eager for Filoni to finally write a definitive, satsifying conclusion for Ahsoka instead of milking her for all she's worth.

She's one of the best characters in all of Star Wars, so she can appear in as much as possible as far as I'm concerned.

Yes, she's one of the best, but for me, there is such thing as too much of a good thing.

Well you should get used to her because shes about to in a lot of live action SW. Rumor is shes going to be the connective tissue between upcoming shows and movies on D+.

I am aware. I just hope they don't overdue it, you know? If I have to wait another 10 years to see what happens to Ahsoka I might stop caring.

There's definitely an element of her being a great character and the more they do with her, the more chance there is of ****ing up. Honestly, I love Ahsoka but feel no need to see any more of her at this point. She's a great character who has had loads of screen time and great stories have been told with her. I don't really need any more.
