Cautiously excited. Will hold onto my Blu until I see the state of grain; the Blu was made during a time when Paramount was being pretty good about making their releases look "filmic", IMHO. Fingers crossed this passes the test.

I did just see this title appear on another thread talking about disc rot, and while mine is still in fine shape (just watched again four months ago), that kinda talk always makes me wary.

Kinda figured it was coming this yr for it's 75th.

I was just hoping it was Criterion.

So we'll get crap photoshop art first. Then OG art with the standard. Naturally I'll get suckered into buying the PP first just in case.

Paramount ended up not using OG art for ONCE UPON IN A TIME IN THE WEST... for the standard which I was shocked.

Agreed. This is one of my few older blu-rays that I’ve always been impressed with how well the picture quality holds up (at least to my eyes…)

It will be a pleasant surprise if this 4k release gets the treatment it well deserves… One of the all-time greats!
