I love all four of those flicks, but Eaten Alive is another top favorite of mine in the jungle/cannibal adventure genre. Absolute day one purchase on 4k. These flicks should all be gorgeous if the OCN’s can be sourced for a fresh 4k scan. Huge excitement here. I’ve been anticipating these titles for a couple of years now. Hopefully the wait isn’t too much longer.

I remember watching a trailer for the film under the title "Doomed To Die" in an actual theater. Granted, it was on The Deuce, but it was still unreal, especially for a 9 year old

Italy Ultimo Formato Cannibale! (Part 3)

I remember being shocked that all of these Italian Cannibal films even received Blu-ray releases.
The fact that we're already seeing most of these badboys planned for upcoming 4K UHD releases is just surreal... and completely f*cking awesome!
I'm eagerly waiting for one of the reputable boutique labels to also give us a high-quality 4K release of Man From Deep River (1972), hopefully sometime very soon...

Maybe Shout will even jump on the bandwagon and throw us a 4K uhd of Eli Roth’s 2013 jungle cannibal adventure homage, “The Green Inferno”….

I just hope they don't do something stupid, like what they did with "Four Flies on Grey Velvet" and release it with all the other titles on Black Friday as an exclusive at their website. It was bad enough back then with price and timing, but now 4 times. Hopefully, they'll be regular releases or one fair priced ($100) set, if the worst does happen.

I'm fairly sure that was a workaround for the rights issues that have dogged that title in the US for years now. It's been the whole reason other labels hadn't done it already.

They have done it a few other times with titles like Blood on Satan's Claw for some reason, but those come back every time there's a sale, so there is a chance Four Flies might rock up again this sale.

Okay. My main problem is if they end up releasing these on Black Friday and charging us $60+ each. It's not only money, but also just bad timing. When we're supposed to be getting others gifts and not ourselves. But, also to expensive and usually too late to add to the X-mas list.

I do though have a strong feeling that these will be in a set. Severin does like to do sets and that ad page above does seem to suggest it. All four are cannibal related films.

Mountain was also released by Shameless in the UK. It is not a complete version but does feature some different extras compared to the Code Red.

Are there ANY updates on these titles? I (foolishly) sold my blu ray copies to make room for the 4K's and as far as I can tell, no updates whatsoever. In fact it seems these have been forgotten about

I was almost sure this was going to be one of Severin's Halfway to Black Friday announcements. Eaten Alive was one of four cannibal epics teased earlier this year...hopefully it's just a matter of the restorations taking longer than expected. My only concern is, people assumed that Slaugher High and Pieces were also forthcoming based on a photo Severin posted online but that turned out to be something else entirely (not related to a physical media release). Maybe this is a similar situation.

That's fun and exciting, but no matter how you slice it, they're not cutting the mustard and we're in a real pickle until we get more of those peak-era cannibal flicks served up in uhd, pronto

Problem with these cannibal flicks is that they'll inevitably be cut by the BBFC.
