Default Masters of the Universe - Netflix

Kevin Smith Lands Big TV Series Involving "Nostalgic IP"

https://comicbook.com/tv-shows/2019/...-nostalgic-ip/

Quote:
Kevin Smith and his cohost Marc Bernardin have been hired to write a new television show involving "nostalgic" intellectual property, although any details beyond that weren't shared by the two writers.
Quote:
Smith and Bernardin were sure to point out the property isn't a Marvel property, but did admit it's certainly a well-known property that'd have viewers feeling nostalgic.
Quote:
Again, no plot details were released, though Smith did end up hinting that an announcement as to what the show will be could come as early as San Diego Comic-Con.

He also referred to it as fan service, a phrase he previously said has a misunderstood connotation because fans *want* to see what they want to see. He blows off people who use that phrase as a negative. So whatever it is, it's a familiar IP...Star Wars? DC? Almost certainly something in the realm of genre fans.

I’ll get excited when I see it. Hasn’t Smith had like a dozen TV show projects over the last few years? And none of them have come to light.

Kevin Smith promised projects are like leprechauns, unicorns and new Tool albums.

He said it might be announced at comic con so I doubt it’s Bad News Bears, it would be weird if that had a panel.
He also said it’s a tv show, I think it’s Johnny Quest

They had creative differences and the project pretty much fell apart after he left, he talked about it before on his podcast

I actually like him more than I did ten years ago (not that I ever disliked him)...he just seems a whole lot wiser and funnier post heart-scare. I check his YouTube page weekly, seems like a really open and genuinely nice person, and those are hard to come by. So thumbs up to one of the good guys.

I'm kind of opposite, but not as a person, just at his work, which just continues to get worse and worse.

That's supposed to be in the same universe as Tusk correct?

I find it interesting that Mark Hamill is voicing Skeletor; I think they would have picked an unknown to increase believability for the character.

I had complete suspension of disbelief in this naked blue man with a skeleton for a head in a leather harness/jockstrap combo and his tiny tiny hands but then he opened his mouth and it was just that Mark Hamill.
