Everyone's all excited about this announcement but my concern is how long will it be til we get blu-rays from paramount and universal if they switch over this week?

I wouldn't doubt if they already have some made. They've known this was gonna be the outcome for some time now.

After Toshiba's announcement, we look towards the announcements from Universal and Paramount.

You might see titles that was suppose to come out before Paramount defected to HDDVD side out first.

If they wanted they could shiped as early as Wednesday to get to retailers for next Tuesday most of these titles( Blades Of Glory, Face Off) were already produce.

I would think Paramount titles will hit very, very quickly! The titles that were released and are curently oop are more than likely sitting in huge warehouses just waiting to get out. As for new titles...hard to say.

Why would either. Paramount/Universal doesn't own Blu-ray (Sony) anything. What makes anyone think those studios would be in an agressive stance to make Blu-ray discs. Neither format is a big profit maker. SD-DVD kills both in sales, they are niche market within a niche market.
