Philips 65 INCH 65OLED974/F7 OLED TV with built in ROKU

Philips has released a low cost 65 inch 4K OLED Roku TV that is 120Hz. Sam’s Club members get a bonus 3 year manufactories warranty. Besides built in Roku there is 2.1 stereo (2 speakers with subwoofer built in). 4 HDMI inputs with Internet by ethernet jack or WI-FI. However, to offer a 65 inch OLED TV this cheap, some features are not offered by this Philips model. There is only Dolby Vision HDR and basic HDR10 and no HDR10+ offered. Also, over the air ATSC broadcasts are limited to 1080i HD resolution since only a ATSC 1.0 tuner built in. Since no built in ATSC 3.0 tuner to get over the air broadcasts in 4K or 2K quality, an external ATSC 3.0 tuner needs to be purchased for over the air broadcasts above 1080i HD. Another issue it appears that a built in digital QAM tuner for in the clear 4K and 1080i HD cable channels is not offered. I remember around the year 2005 buying my first 27 inch 1080i HDTV at Walmart for $399.99 and it having a built in ATSC 1.0 tuner with QAM tuner. So far, the way the law is written a TV must have a ATSC tuner included or some type of tuner like ATSC/NTSC to be labeled a TV. If one day streaming replaces the need for tuners in TV’s then instead of calling the product a Smart TV it will instead need to be called a Smart Monitor (or the law changed so that a streaming app is allowed to be called a Smart TV with no tuner in it). But the good news this Philips OLED product does have at least a ATSC tuner built in and maybe also a legacy NTSC tuner built in. NTSC tuners are not needed anymore since over the air broadcasts are ATSC digital and cable TV is digital QAM.
