No F**cking way. I was JUST thinking about this movie, wondering if we'd get a blu at some point. Not Romero's best, but a neat little film.

Another ancient DVD being finally upgraded.

That's a huge title. I kinda wonder who has it in the US.

Lionsgate have the rights in the US. There was some speculation that Kino may have it.

Terrific! I've got the US DVD of this somewhere. Not a bad little film. I still think Monkey Shines is absolutely fantastic and totally underrated, but I'll be buying this one for sure!

Solid, underrated Romero film that has The Misfits in it! Great announcement!

Hell yeah. This one was in dire need of a 4K restoration.

Great final installment of a mini-trilogy that consists of Season of the Witch, Martin and this film.

I wonder what the source is. It states 4k HDR restoration. Is it from the original camera negative, the interpositive, the internegative, or a print source?

Whatever source Indicator is using, it's a huge jump in quality! This is a youtube demo clip-

Oh man. I haven't seen this since back in the day when I was a kid. I do remember it being really good though and I love Romero. I'm in 2 minds about buying it, I'm running out of shelf space so it has to be really special to gain a coveted shelf spot

I'm a Romero completist, and will get it, the movie never did anything for me though. Maybe a reevaluation may change my mind.

This is a StudioCanal title outside the US, and I imagine the resto work was mostly done by them.

This looks like a typically definitive Indicator release...no need really to hold out for a domestic release. Unless it comes from a label like Vinegar Syndrome who might give it super deluxe treatment, this edition will be hard to top. Someone said Lionsgate has the US rights...yeah, no. Best you can hope for is a cheap Blu-ray release using an old master on their Vestron line.

It's StudioCanal's own in-house 4K HDR restoration from the original negative.

They financed the film in the first place (the first onscreen credit is "Le Studio Canal+ presents") and consequently own all relevant materials, and of course have very extensive experience of 4K HDR restoration themselves. So you can rest assured that it's in the best possible hands.

Talking of which, the BD and UHD encodes will be courtesy of David Mackenzie at Fidelity in Motion, as per usual.
