Le Chat Qui Fume is working on a 4K restoration of the classic French horror film THE BLOOD ROSE (1970), with a planned UHD to be released as well. Coming soon with more details to follow.

From another forum last week
It should be English-friendly, as per this email I received from Stephane Bouyer last September: "Yes we will release the Blood rose in english and with english sub and the contract by Claude Mulot, à very rare movie... In english dub too..." So apparently very English friendly in therms of film audio. |

I remember seeing this film at the Jerry Lewis Cinema in Wayne, NJ, cut and dubbed. I always remember the score which was used for another European horror film I have. After this in the late 70's, it was available on video tape for rental only (as I tried to purchase it from the video store owner). I currently own the Mondo uncut European version and would welcome any upgrade. And of course, it's too much to hope that we will someday see Vadim's Blood and Roses, available only on a Paramount DVD.

Didn't even know this was on blu till tonight. It seems like I may have ordered the last one from Amazon France. I won't celebrate this purchase till it's in my hands. Also, I wasn't aware Amazon France was still shipping to the US. The UK and Germany have stopped, so i lucked out, maybe.
Also, to anyone that has it, would you mind sharing your thoughts on the PQ/AQ and extras of this set? Thanks! |

Totally! Very important to remember vendor as a source. And for a boutique label, their 4K prices are very fair. But there stuff is short printed and when done the prices soar on secondary market.

Watching the Blu-ray for the first time and noticed what appears to be a brief audio dropout and image color change at ~32:32—like right before the scene transitions. Just my copy or anyone else? Merci
