Since it's an Australian release, it belongs in the Australian sub-forum IMO. The question is, did he discover it by himself by going to JBHiFi.com.au, or just see my thread in the Australian sub-forum, and come here to report it and take the credit for it, without thanking my post in that thread for alerting him to it

Everything UHD BD related belongs in this forum. There is already a thread for a german release. Selecting the country flags makes it clear that it's not an US release. But I doubt that Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon will be exclusive to Australia.

The movie already looked great when it was available in UHD on Netflix. The UHD Blu-ray should be even better.

There is often a lot to sift through in each thread relating to a release in this sub-forum, for instance, there is a great deal of back and forward between members sharing their opinions about the quality of a UHD release. U.S. releases dominate this sub-forum for the most part. I don't want information regarding Australian releases to be lost amongst this, I want it to be simple for fellow Australian and New Zealand members to be able to find info about our releases. Practicality every UHD title that has been released in Australia has it's own thread in the Australian and New Zealand sub-forum. There is not much activity in them at the moment, however, that will change when myself and more Australian and New Zealand members that regularly post in the Australian/New Zealand sub-forum invest in 4K equipment in the near future. Not to mention, some people prefer to sometimes have conversations about this topic with people from their own part of the world.

d514 is right. Everything UHD software-related belongs in this forum. There is no dedicated UHD forum for imports yet. As I don't go browsing other forums for UHD information I appreciate anything new that's posted here and I'm sure most other members who own UHD players do as well.

Once we start seeing more to local and different releases, we can worry about expanding the 4K section further, but until then, every UHD release should be posted about in this sub-forum, even if there is another thread regarding the release in a 1080p Blu-ray sub-forum.

Great to see this one coming, especially as it must use the new 1080p disc in the combo pack. I will definitely pick up a copy.

Who are you to decide this? You are not a Mod . The Australian/New Zealand Mod's don't seem to see anything wrong with it.

You and anyone else are free to post anything UHD related in this sub-forum, as are Australian/New Zealand members free to post anything relating to Australian and New Zealand UHD releases in the Australian and New Zealand sub-forum.

You need to remember, that some members don't venture out of their countries sub-forum. The sub-forum that they belong to is where they source their info from, and is where they come to learn about all domestic releases.

You quoted d514 that you "disagreed" that everything UHD-related belongs in this forum. I was responding to that but I see you edited your post. Take a chill pill.

I'm not sure why you have suggested that I take a chill pill, there is nothing in my posts that indicates that I'm anything but calm. What I meant when I said that I disagree is, that I don't think the info only belongs in this sub-forum. I don't see the problem with the info being posted in both sub-forums.

I never said that the UHD info needs to be exclusive to this forum, only that all UHD info is welcome here. Of course UHD info can be posted in other forums as well (IMO).

I found it on JB Hifi myself, I have a set of favourites for various retailers 4K sections on their website which I periodically check for new releases. I can't remember the last time I visited the Australian sub-forum.

This is a fantastic movie. I hope it gets a stunning new master and an Atmos remix. I can hardly wait to hear the reviews!!!!!

This'll obviopusly have the remastered Blu-ray disc too. But will it have accurate subtitles?

At least UHD doesn't have any region coding.
