USA IMAX Siegfried & Roy : The Magic Box (1999) [No 3D Blu-ray] [Anaglyph DVD only]

I just watched this on DVD the picture quality is amazing so immersive, but for as great as it looks you can tell this was solely meant it be a 3D only experience.but it surprises me if all the IMAX filmed 3D movies the company released on Blu-Ray 3D this wasn't one of them and this movie came out in the same year as Cirque Du Soleli: Journey Of Man in IMAX 3D. Siegfried A d Roy were one of the most popular acts from 90s who was one of the acts that popularized Las Vegas as an entertainment residency and their popularity went beyond Vegas. The DVD version contains an awful anaglyph 3D version which I couldn't watch for more than a few seconds.

Most likely the only reason Cirque Du Soleli: Journey Of Man was released on 3d Blu-ray IMAX Siegfried & Roy : The Magic Box (1999) wasn't is because even the original 2001 dvd release of Cirque Du Soleli: Journey Of Man was released by Columbia/Tri-Star. Columbia/Tri-Star is a company owned by Sony and back in 2011 Sony was heavily advertising 3d and 3d Blu-ray as part of Sony's big failed pitch of Sony 3d world for 3d tv and playstation 3.This was back in the early 2010's when sony was big on trying to get people to buy a 3d tv and a 3d blu-ray player or ps3 and 3d tv.It was also released around the same time the playstation 3d display was released so it doesn't surprise me that Sony would rerelease an old 3d documentary on to 3d blu-ray as part of a campaign to get as much material as possible on 3d blu-ray.Of course now a days Sony has mostly abandoned anything 3d heck even the movies they release to theatres don't even get 3d versions in cinemas.

Anyways my point being is that Sony never held any part of the release rights for home media to IMAX Siegfried & Roy : The Magic Box.The company that owns the home media rights is Filmworks/Hannover House a small company that has never released a 3d blu-ray.The company Filmworks/Hannover House never released a single 3d blu-ray even when 3d blu-ray was being heavily promoted as the next big platform by all the big companies for watching movies and tv in 2010-2015 at home.

Venom The Last Dance wasn't Sony's last 3D American movie in cinemas? And Barroz 3D was their offshore release by my calculations.

I thought about contacting Hannover House but I more likely I don't think there would be a point as the company more likely is defunct now. Idk who controls Siegfried & Roy's estate but you'd think they want to get the rights to this movie and release it as a Blu-Ray 3D to reintroduce this duo to a new generation so they aren't completely forgotten.
