Dear god, yes! I saw this in the theater on opening night in an audience of 6 people! It was advertised as an action/comedy, not the slow burn neo-western/neo-noir that it was. Definitely one of those films that ages like a fine wine. All the little things about the characters and in the dialogue are discovered with more viewings.

Very influenced by Peckinpah, and has one of the most realistic shootouts ever filmed that wasn't shot by Mann. One of the very few movies where gun handling and tactics are completely realistic! Its so realistic that Christopher McQuarrie put a hilarious never ending clip joke in the middle of the shootout after a bunch of shots dedicated to showing all of the clips being reloaded!

Plus, the late Nicky Katt has a major role in it too.

I showed the opening scene of this to a friend of mine a couple years ago and the look on his face was so goddamn priceless.
