Wont be cheap I guess. I hate SC's yellow printing it has for every release now.

I wonder if MotOE will be the same 4K master that Paramount created and licensed to Kino Lorber. I think Paramount has the negative.

As for the other 3, Kino Lorber said they're doing them too, so they're probably licensing StudioCanal's masters.

Tempting but honestly, I think I'll wait to see which is better (SC or Kino).

I'll also wait for reviews and impressions on people, but DAMN the design is REALLY good, plus booklet. Definitely a want. Hopefully it's not piss drenched.

I’m very interested in this. Have the Kino blu rays and can’t say I expect great things of their UHD discs. This looks like a nice thought designed package.

Three quality mysteries... and The Mirror Crack'd.

Kino left off the mono track for EXPRESS so if SC include that it'll be an instant win.

Studio Canal doing amazing designs and then printing the ratings logo on every side of the case.

On another note, I appreciate that they include new extra features, essays and designs on top of the upgraded picture quality. Makes it worth double dipping.

Wish we could get the rest of Peter Ustinov's portrayal of Hercule Poirot on discs some day.

The big appeal of The Mirror Crack’d is seeing all these massive stars being a little past their prime .

Anyway, I nearly bought the UK Blu-rays of these a few times, and was very close to buying the German Blu-ray box set - glad I didn’t now, as this set is very tempting indeed.

Sadly the logo's are non-negotiable.....'It's da law' as Judge Dredd would say

In my opinion.. the german certification logos and Italy stickers are much more bothersome to me. I've gotten accostumed to the UK cert.

Totally law and I appreciate the work of classification and ratings boards.

But after someone purchases the product it's not law to have the ratings plastered all over their home. Once opened, the ratings are still printed on the disc and displayed when the movie is played, and that's enough.

The case can be a display piece and the art appreciated without the ratings logos. It'd be great if more companies would use removable stickers, j-cards, obi strips or other means instead of permanently printing the logos right on the case. Especially for large and more expensive products like this one.

Talking about this.. I just remembered these may have been done by Silver Salt Restoration, because usually they do the work for the remastering of the UK branch of Studiocanal movies, Hiventy does it for FR or super big blockbuster ones. Silver Salt Restoration is *great*, their restorations look very filmic and they do not piss/snot drench their work.

This is all just guessing, because there's no confirmation yet. Definitely the art design of the set is fantastic. It really gets to the eye and has that style of the era of the movies mixed with some modern flare. It's really fitting. I'm definitely going to get them, but I doubt I can do it day 1.

Honestly these sets are my favorites. Not too bulky, lovingly designed, and it doesn't have plastic or paper weight, other than the posters, and has a lovely booklet, and in my opinion I value good booklets in these collector's editions more than little cards and posters (which I never even use.)

Aren’t Silver Salt now owned by Hammer as they bought them to do all their 4K restorations which they’re churning out one a month. Although I’ve only bought the three big box LEs they’ve all be great and the reviews of the smaller box films are similar.

I imported the blu ray box set a few years ago from Italy.
Love these films, so definately will upgrade. They aren't showing how the discs are housed, so I'm assuming they are in induvidual cases. The slip box certainly looks big enough.

Yeah, I'd assume it's the same cases as the individual releases, minus the slips.

Well we are allowed to sell non-UK blus on ebay, so yeah, you're correct.

It seems as if the German version also includes ‘Mord nach Mass’, that is, Endless Night.
