The original Survival Kids looks a lot better than the new one for Switch 2.

I have doubts they will ever re-release it. The fact they didn’t add transfer features in the Stadium games is implying they won’t be adding the main classic Pokemon games.

Nice selection, I'm mostly interested in Survival Kids and Kirby!

Why would Nintendo not want to add the older games?

Logic would say they would add them. But as many people have said in the past, Nintendo hates money. They already missed out on a lot of money by not giving us the option to buy classic Nintendo games on NSO.

I bet Nintendo makes a lot more money with NSO than they ever did with Virtual Console. Obviously most of the users on this forum would rather buy than subscribe, but I wonder what percentage we are in that ~150 million Nintendo Switch user base, vs the user base that will just continue subscribing. The prefer-purchase group must be pretty small or else Nintendo would have kept Virtual Console active instead of replacing it with NSO.

New ad for NSO. I think the rewind feature looks odd, like a series of snapshots, but it might be a good change.

I actually like the concept of NSO, there are a lot of games that I probably never would have tried out if it hadn't been out there (as someone who wasn't even alive yet when the NES-SNES were at their prime and was born right as the N64 was being phased out, that's a pretty big plus), but I will say I do wish the option to purchase them was still available, so if you really liked a game, you could pay an extra fee and get to own it.

Yeah, NSO is pretty affordable so I'm sure anyone using will get value out of it, but I would also prefer an option to buy. I really don't like how Nintendo and Sony paywall games behind their subscription services.

It just looks like snapshots so you can see where you’re rewinding back too. Think of it like a couple second timeline presented like a film reel. You don’t have to automatically go back whatever the maximum amount of time is. You can go back to any point you want within that time frame.

I would imagine the only real benefit the rewind feature has is in case you don't use the built-in save states, or don't save often.

I hate how you can’t purchase NSO games, but I hope the one silver lining is that it will lead to Animal Crossing on GCN complete with the NES roms.

I got shipping confirmation for my NSO Gamecube controller. Should go well with my N64 and SNES ones.

PS1, PS2, and PSP Classics have the rewind feature, it's very useful if you just died or screwed up something towards a trophy etc.

Seeing footage that confirms the GCN controller has a gyroscope in it. Was this mentioned before launch?

Played a bit of Soul Calibur II today. After a few rounds I paused and redownloaded the HD version on Xbox, the GCN version holds up pretty well! The HD version is basically the PS2 version zoomed to 16x9 and it’s got some performance improvements, but Link is a better character than Heihachi so a plus for the 4x3 GCN version.
