Default Panasonic OLEDs return to North America (2024)

Quote:
Panasonic Announces Return to the US with New Line-Up of OLED and Mini-LED TVs with Fire TV Built In

NEWARK, N.J., Sept. 4, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Panasonic announced its return to the US with its industry-leading TVs after a decade-long absence. The new line-up includes OLED (Z95A and Z85A) and Mini-LED (W95A) TVs ranging from 55 to 85 inches, all designed and developed in Japan, showcasing Panasonic's outstanding picture quality.

Through a global collaboration with Amazon, these models come with Fire TV built in, offering a seamless, content-forward smart TV experience. Starting today, US consumers can pre-order these TVs from retailers such as Amazon and Costco.com.

I could do without Fire but amazing news overall. Unfortunately only 55" and 65" sets available at launch, hopefully they'll see larger sizes in the pipeline - the EU market has a 77" OLED option.

Renowned Japanese brand Panasonic has announced today that it is returning with immediate effect to the US TV marketplace after a near decade-long absence. The brand has confirmed, too, that its return won’t be some half-hearted toe-dipping exercise; in fact it’s going to be giving US AV fans the opportunity to get their hands on its most premium OLED models - models deemed so good by the home entertainment world that they’re sometimes used as reference monitors in professional mastering suites.
