Will any of the commentaries or other previous DVD extras be ported over?

Any word of a Region 1 U.S. release? All I’m seeing is a British R2 release. I actually got to speak to Dandys’ drummer Brent DeBoer recently at a meet & greet and asked him about the updated film. He hadn’t seen it yet but wanted to. He also said he heard the added foorage was seamlessly woven into the original film. It’s a fascinating film. Really interested in the XX version and hoping they release a R1 soon.

You’re in the thread for the US release. You click the link in the first post it takes you to the website to buy the US release.

Glad to see this has both versions. Not sure how I'm going to feel about the new cut. Hope the original doesn't get relegated to "extra" status and not done properly or in HD. A bit concerned it just says 2 movie and not 2 disc. The original was never released in HD so not sure there's a HD transfer of it.

Just got this from Oscilloscope, and can't wait to watch it! I've cherished the DVD for so long, including the BJM bonus CD from BBY:

I assume the content is the same as far as special features, but I'll confirm and post if I find anything missing.

I haven’t gone through everything yet, but it seems most of the special features from the DVD are missing, as is 5.1 audio and company logos (which they replaced with the oscilloscope logo,) for the original cut.
