The dazzling soundtrack features ten original songs (five by Electric Light Orchestra’s Jeff Lynne and five by John Farrar), including such hits as “Magic,” “I’m Alive,” “All Over the World,” “Suddenly” and the title song “Xanadu.” And, reprising his role of nightclub owner Danny McGuire from 1944’s Cover Girl, Gene Kelly shines in what would become his final film performance. Don't expect much. Don't get me wrong, I love it, but it's one of those "so bad it's good" flicks. Came out a year too late, after the whole roller disco fad was already dying. If it came out in '79, it might have fared better.

Still have the gatefold album I bought back then. I wonder which audio track(s) they'll use.

Can't say I share whiteberry's enthusiasm (lol love it tho) but it really is shocking that there isn't already some kind of extensive special edition on BD or DVD. Xanadu has quite the cult following.

It truly is a bizarre film though.

Oh and the title track is catchy as hell, and I like 'Magic' a lot too. Love me some Olivia Newton-John.

Magic would be my favorite song from the movie. It was the lead single from the soundtrack and spent four weeks at #1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart.
