Warner Bros Classic TCM movies back on MAX

Since the current month of December, classic movies from the vast TCM catalog are back on MAX.

I was praying it wasn't just a one-off, and thankfully the January dispatch brings another batch of 25 movies from the 30s, 40s and 50s!

***Edited to add original press release explaining the whole move that I missed the first time around:***

WBShop It's curated too!

FYI, even though they barely publicize it, they're not just adding titles at random, there's curation involved.

Last month, it was Oscar-winners, this month there is a double spotlight on Barbara Stanwick and Joan Crawford, with most of the new additions being movies starring either one of them Hollywood legends, tracing their careers from their earlier youth stardom till their middle age mature roles in the late 1940s.

WBShop Biggest month yet!

Setting a new record, April brings to MAX a whopping 41 classic movies from the 30s, 40s and 50s:

https://press.wbd.com/us/media-relea...ew-max-april-0

In fact, the TCM classics dwarf by far the quantity of modern movies added, only 27.

And once again, even if they fail to publicize it as they should, this is a carefully curated selection.

On April, the spotlight is on BETTE DAVIS and DORIS DAY, with practically every movie in the list featuring either one of them.

It's starting to sound more and more like they want to move TCM to become a part of Max...

WBShop "Monthly Stunts rolling out on MAX beginning this December"

I doubt it. TCM just has a hub on MAX, that started out actively right after the HBO MAX launch, then went on hibernation for years until this recent new surge in activity, but many other WBD brands have their own MAX hub too.

BTW, I don't know how I could have missed this press release from December that explains it all:

Thank you for posting about this!! I noticed My Reputation with Stanwyck popped up on Max for March, and was surprised. Didn't realize they were offering so many!! I've been really into Doris Day lately and I don't believe I've seen any of these.
