Default The Vengeance Trilogy, Best Buy Tin.

At some point in the near future I'll definitely buy Park Chan-Wook's "Vengeance Trilogy" in the tin now available at Best Buy, but I have a few questions first.

Is the tin slated to appear at any other retailer? (I'm guessing not, but just wanted to make sure.)

Does Best Buy ever have sales on its exclusive steelbooks (and tins) and how long do the steelbooks stay in stock (at any price) before they're discontinued? (I've never bought a steelbook from Best Buy before).

Thanks.

it says "EXCLUSIVE" thus making it exclusive to best buy and they are highly limited meaning once they are gone they are gone and i would be surprised if your BB still has them in stock

you can get BB to price match walmart.com and you can get it for 39.99 i suggest you do it now before they sell out because once they are gone they are gone forever, they don't usually have sells on these kind of tins because they are so limited that they sell out before they have a chance to have a sale, most best buys are only getting around 3-5 per store, im sure in bigger areas they will get more but 2 BBs in my area only got 4 copies, the big best buy got around 6 according to the manager and 2 bbs were completely sold out day 1, the other BB has 1 left and its being reported by ALOT of people through out dvd/BR forums that they cant find any

so i suggest you goto walmart.com and print off the vengeance trilogy (bluray) page and PM it at best buy and get it because you wont see it on sale and you probably wont see it in your store a month if not a week or days from now

Im not sure if they have Exclusive steelbooks discount sales.
The only thing I have seen was Pirates 1,2 and 3
On sale for $14.99 and it was for the normal Blu-rays and the SteelCases.
In BestBuy they still have Pirates 1,2 and 3 SteelCases
So I think this trilogy steel isn't going anywhere any time soon.
The Vengeance TrilogySteel/Tin,Will be around for some time from BB

I went to BB today they had on Display about 15Copies.
They not flying off the shelfs. The Wal-mart price match sounds like a good idea.
I'm not sure how fast Steel/Tin's sell out in other states but in NewYork They Stick Around For a long long time.

You are lucky because there are tons of people who cant find a copy, maybe you live in a town where no one has real taste in movies or haven't adopted blu-ray

Seriously tho ive seen over 100 people on various forums begging people to find them a copy, i would PM a few copies and immediatly sell some for the 60$ on ebay which you would easily get and maybe save 1-2 for on down the road for trades or sell, these will be worth a pretty penny down the road unlike most normal steelbooks.

Thanks for the tip about matching the price at walmart.com, styl3s. I may just do that. It's always nice to save some cash.

I live in New York also and noticed that a couple of Best Buys each have several copies of this title, in the tin, in stock. They probably just have more in stock than the Best Buy stores in other cities and towns.

Anyway, I'm really just starting to deliberately collect tins and steelcases; I really like that special kind of packaging; so much more interesting than the usual plastic Amaray cases. (The only Blu-ray tin I already have is Band of Brothers, but I didn't buy it specifically for the tin.) I've been looking into getting steelcases of other titles and I'm planning to place an order for a small handful this weekend, probably from Amazon.fr: Gran Torino (for which I already have a standard-case US copy but love the film enough to buy the French steelbook), District 9 and maybe one other (Match Point, perhaps). I've already preordered the Minority Report steelcase from Amazon.co.uk (along with the standard-case version from Amazon.com).

I'll also look into other "foreign" steelcase items, like Saving Private Ryan (the regular version is already on preorder), the steelcase of District 9 available in Germany (for the different cover graphics), Fight Club (already have the fantastic standard-DVD steelcase plus the regular-package Blu-ray with its slipcase) and many others. I just wish many more of these steelcases were available domestically in the States.

Be warned the vengeance tin is not as durable as the BOB, this one dents easy like those cookie tins you would get at a dollar store or grocery store so you might wanna be extra careful with it.

i have also seen reports alot of the tins in the stores have dents on them, mine didn't and neither did the others i saw but i could see how they would get dents so easily because it is a cheap tin but defiantly price match before walmart.com ups the price, paying 40 instead of 60 is always a plus

Hi all,
Just wanted to pass this along. I went into my local Best Buy yesterday because I checked their website and it said they had the Vengeance trilogy Steelbook set for like 59.00.
I also checked walmart.com and they had the Vengeance trilogy(non steelbook set) for like 39.00.
Anyway I asked my Best Buy if they would price match it and they did. At first I didn't think they would since theirs was steelbook and walmart's was not. They knew their steelbook was their exclusive and did it anyway.
Just thought I'd pass it along in case someone wants to check with their Best Buy. You might get lucky and save a bit of cash.

Default Quadruple Dips

Got a price matched set holding at BB.
This will make a triple dip for the three. Quadruple for Oldboy. The I sense a sale of it's steelbox. That was a nice steelbox...for a DVD.
Hope the discs are right. Too bad about the problem. I doubt BB will rerun this.

Is my bestbuy the only one that wouldn't price match? What the crap? At least i bought a bunch of stuff when i bought a business a few months ago, so I had a ton of rewards zone points to spend.

They wouldn't price match for me either. I had them dig their last copy out of the back and boom..it was missing Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance and had a dupe of Lady Vengeance. I tried.

Is the tin package still available? I checked the product info on the Best Buy website, but there are no words about package in the product description...

Best Buy, right now only has the tin case available it isn't available at any other retailers as yet in any way...
Its 59.99 right now, some member had luck price matching Wal-mart price for 39.99...I wasn't one of the lucky one

Default Tin Box Here...

If someone really wants this, they can have mine. I was able to price match this set with Walmart at Best Buy the day it came out. I really have no use for the tin (like slip covers). The hard part may be shipping it though without damaging it. It's not the sturdiest box, but right now, mine is not damaged at all. If not, I was maybe going to use it to hold nails or screws in the garage.....

So does Best Buy sell one with a tin and one without? Cuase I just checked online and there is a store further out saying it is instock, but I don't really want to drive there if it doesn't have a tin.

I would say most people who go to best buy don't even know what those movies are. So I'm sure the tins want be flying off the shelf any time soon. I don't think any have sold at the best buy I goto.
