I'd given up hope on Spielberg ever doing sci-fi again, particularly UFO/alien-related, which is my favorite.

The underperformance of his last couple of movies awards- and box office-wise must have gotten to him. Good. No more dull period Oscar bait for a while, pretty please.

I wouldn't mind a UFO movie that reversed the point of view, so instead of spending most of the time with the humans looking up, we'd start off with the aliens, landing on Earth and seeing if it's worth it.
