Default Recommended PC monitors for watching Blu-ray discs

Hello, all. Hope your day or night is going well.

What are your PC monitors you use to watch your films on your PC? I was thinking of getting this AOC monitor, but I'm undecided so far.

What are everyone's thoughts? Thank you.

Do you absolutely have to? Even if the colors are just right, you're too close to the film's grain and all the digital muck.

Since the OP has posted having a 4K TV before I guess this is more about a primary monitor for the computer.

There is nothing to be curious about. It cannot be used to view the old 3D Blu-Ray content.

For not much more or less than the price of an average monitor, you can get a 32 or 40-inch Samsung FHD HDTV in stores, even though they are no longer manufactured, and use that as a PC monitor. I found them to be superior to the general monitor offerings.

I'm using a cheapo 1080p Samsung monitor, and after some tinkering with Computer Resolution Utility, I got 23.976Hz and 24Hz working perfectly on my PC.

The TV gives you both the Smart TV functions and two HDMI ports that you can use for the PC and a stand-alone Blu-Ray player. It also gives you better sound and picture than the monitor will, for both PC and Blu-Ray usage. That's why I have used that arrangement in the past. If you're not gaming, there's really no reason to go with a PC monitor, but I picked up gaming again and wanted HFR, so I switched to a 32-inch 1080P gaming monitor and have the Samsung TV next to it, with a Fire TV Cube and Samsung BD player hooked into it, while my PC and consoles are hooked into my gaming monitor.

Whatever. I was posting on what the OP seems to be looking for not you.

Its pointless now since the OP has not expanded on what is being looked for.

In addition to viewing my discs, I'd also be playing PC games as well as, obviously, browsing the Internet.

I was hoping to upgrade my very old monitor to something more modern.

Thank you.

If you’re mainly watching movies, I’d go for something with a good IPS panel and solid contrast. I’ve had a Dell Ultrasharp for a while and it’s been great for Blu rays colors look natural and the viewing angles make a big difference when you’re not sitting dead center. Also, make sure it handles 24p smoothly, some cheaper monitors don’t and you’ll notice the judder.
