Pretty cool, but definitely begs the question- "Why?"
I'm guessing the answer is- "Just because we could" ![]() |

Well that's certainly something I wouldn't mess up with.
Only for those who know there computer stuff would go through such "tinkering" w/o getting lost through all the jargon. Definitely not for me :P XD |

I am not at all impressed with the browser the PS3 has built in. I'm not a Unix user, but ... maybe I'll need to get my hands dirty with it.
PS3 is nifty - to a point. It has some very serious limitations I think. Perhaps I just need to learn more about it - but I don't see how to network to my home PCs to access audio and video files. What external USB hard drives are supported so I can back up my disc/game info then tinker with other things without having to download 3GB of stuff? What Bluetooth keyboard/mouse will work with the PS3 so I don't have to putz around with the controller when I want to surf the web? etc., etc., etc. I am sure I will have a lot more 'requests' and 'questions' before I am through with things. But, mostly I love the Blu-ray playback capability! |

PS3 using Linux using WinXP is just too much work. It took 10 MINUTES just to BOOT UP! Of course, that's running on emulator but you get the idea. Better to just Linux.
