Librarian Gloria Mundy (Goldie Hawn) leads a relatively uneventful life. When she looks to shake things up, she somehow winds up in the middle of an assassination plot against the pope. Calling the police, Mundy meets the hapless detective Tony Carlson (Chevy Chase), who takes the case. During the course of the investigation, the two fall in love, but the assassin (Marc Lawrence) is still after Mundy -- and anyone with her -- to keep her from foiling the plot.

I really hope the transfer is 100 times better than the Blu-Ray that was released.

It had that off smeary look Paramount was giving lots of movies around the time the Blu was released. See also 200 Cigarettes. disasters

Terrific flick! Literally told someone yesterday this was the kind of title Kino might release on 4K someday. Other Paramount titles from this era that also need some Kino 4k love: HEAVEN CAN WAIT, MEATBALLS, BAD NEWS BEARS

It was only a few months ago I was b!tching at the fact that other (crappier) Paramount comedies were getting the "new 4K scan" treatment while this one was seemingly forgotten. Needless to say.... DAY ONE!

Paramount doesn't have Meatballs, their distribution rights expired many years ago (have since gone from Sony to Lionsgate).

I love Foul Play but the BLU had a 5.1 mix

So we prob won’t get the original mono mix

And if we do it’ll be a fold down of the 5.1

It shouldn’t bee that hard to get the original Mono
