Default Sleepaway Camp (1983) (Collector's Edition)

Just announced on SF Facebook page.

Quote:
Happy Halloween everyone! We are super excited to announce to you on this special day that we will be releasing the original uncut SLEEPAWAY CAMP film on Blu-ray for the first time next Spring!

This will most definitely be a Collector's Edition (new art is being worked on it as we type) and is planned to come loaded with great extras that will be announced at a later date. We love this film and will certainly aim to please fans of Angela, Aunt Martha, cussing cousin Ricky, Judy, Meg and the rest of Camp Arawak's memorable counselors and campers.

Can't wait to pick this one up when it comes out! Will be a blind buy and probably a good once since I love horror movies.

Nice! If they also land II and III down the road, I can sell my Red Cross box.

Don't do any re-search or discuss it with anyone. In fact stay off these Sleepaway Camp threads. You definitely don't want spoilers on this one...trust me!

I could see a Double Feature of 2 & 3 from Scream down the line a bit for sure...and hope!

If they do 2 & 3 later on, I hope they can get Pamela Springsteen to do an interview for the special features. I thought she was great in the sequels.

Another one here too. I actually prefer the 2nd and 3rd to the original with the 2nd my clear favourite and Pamela Springsteen is great in them and dare i say it hot (no one ever agrees with me on that though). Theres a recent video of her on youtube dancing with her brother and she still looks good.

Nice! I'll be getting it! I'm still gonna keep my Red Cross/Medical Kit box set. I remember buying it the day it got recalled. If they do the second and third one, I wonder if they would port over the footage of the lost in development 4th entry. There was footage shot, seemed lame but it'd make the completist's happy....
