Richard Rathke is the sloppiest private investigator in New York City and fate has just thrust him into the biggest opportunity of his career: locate the missing son of cosmetics mogul Katherine Amari. But this isn't a typical missing persons case. Katherine's son may be the most recent victim in a series of homicides attributed to an elusive murderer known as “The Charles River Killer” — whose existence remains uncertain.
