Have to admit, the new artwork is interesting. I prefer it over their previous “Nancy Allen running in the subway” art.

Hope Atomic or Diabolik will carry this stateside.

Has the artwork been posted? Amazon's listing doesn't show it yet, so I'm just using the theatrical poster for now.

The Kino disc is one of their great releases, I think I’ll stick with it.

Yea not sure for this one as the Kino disc had no issues? Encoded before their crappy encodes became more the norm.

IIRC the 5.1 track has the censored lines. The subtitles are also blindingly bright if you don't have a player that can dim them.

New art is obscured under the slip but appears to be the used on the disc art as well:

Anyone know if this was present on the Kino audio?
http://dvdcompare.net/forums/phpbb3/...p?f=28&t=31754
"The Criterion release of DRESSED TO KILL (9-8-2015) may be the "unrated/uncut version." However, there is a very bad audio edit in its sole mono track that is essentially a hack job between the R-rated and unrated versions between 34:34 and 34:44. It's during the height of the action in the elevator murder sequence.

While the film/video is indeed that of the uncut version, the audio that's juxtaposed with it is absolutely NOT that of the uncut version (as we've known it to be from previous releases). It is a splicing of audio from the R-rated version and uncut versions, and has a very noticeably different rhythm because of it.

Another poster at another forum looked into and confirmed that the Arrow uncut blu-ray has a secondary 2.0 track that has exactly this same problem and/or is identical to that audio glitch on Criterion's sole audio track. In other words, likely not a "bad edit made by Criterion," but just them porting over faulty elements from another release and not realizing it.

However, given that this mono track with the botched audio edit is the only track available on the Criterion release, is it worth noting perhaps in the profile and comparison page. Clearly, some fans/purists are going to notice this and take issue with it."

It’s correct on the original mono track, at least, on Kino’s release. I never bothered with the 5.1

Yep, I'm buying this one again. FiM encode, I assume should make it worthwhile. This is one of those, like most De Palma's, that I'll just keep buying. I have the Criterion, original Arrow, Kino, and Capelight Mediabook.

I do wish this had a rigid slipcase though. It'll just be a slipcover release.

Yeah, this would be a prime candidate for a deluxe edition.

Like with The Great Escape, the Kino commentaries/interviews are carried over.

Not sure if there are any other De Palmas they could tackle beyond 4K upgrades, except maybe Femme Fatale through WB, or maybe The Black Dahlia for the US.

The new art is an improvement from the minimalist art from the last BD, has a giallo feel. Will need to pick up Blow Out 4K at some point.

Glad to see them using trans critics on the new commentary like with The Silence of the Lambs (she’s also designed art as Sister Hyde).

I'm glad I held off from picking up the Kino 4K. Definitely a must have. Great lineup this month. Arrow is wanting my money this year.

Raising Cain would be nice too. Black Dahlia would be a huge release if they could somehow get the unreleased 3 hour cut
