Cleanup button on thread

Been tossing around some thoughts:

Idea 1
We should have a 3rd button on the far left of posts, next to the "report post", that may be a mop-n-bucket....for thread cleanup.

Or just a button at the top of the thread for thread cleanup.

I see a lot of posts here, complaining about the lack of good threads. Duplicate threads, pointless threads, immature threads...

We just need a good ol' cleanup method.

Additional thoughts on this:

Idea 2
A separate thought on this one is to make the button only available to those who meet a "Time and Post" requirement (example, 300 posts and 3 months). Those that have access to the cleanup button can "flag" a thread for cleanup.

Idea 3
Expanding on this with another thought: Auto-cleanup. After a set number of flags from the authorized users, the thread just gets cleaned up and removed (set the threshold where it would make sense).

If 30 "senior users" feel the thread needs to go (or if it's a dupe), then it should be gone, without any real need for a moderator. Ones that fail to get this 30 flags (again, just using 30 as an example) will still be reviewed by the mods.

This would alleviate some strain on the mods, and allow the senior members to better aid in policing the site.

Abuse the button, and the button gets taken away from you.

It would also result in far more substantive threads.

We can implement any level of my thoughts. I may make a poll to see what thoughts get better response.

Just one of my better lines of thought. They come to me about as rarely as an eclipse.
