Default The Future Of The Halloween Franchise Discussion Thread

With the release of the polarizing Halloween Ends past us and Blumhouse's three picture deal over, the future of the Halloween franchise is now up in the air.

With that being said, the film leaker Cine Stealth tweeted this yesterday:

Quote:
Exec producer Malek Akkad has already heard multiple pitches (formal and informal) about where to take the Halloween franchise next. But nothing is set in stone and any ideas will need to be shopped around to new studios/distributors. Blumhouse is out. TV series is on the table.

Another film leaker Big Screen Leaks seemingly confirmed this rumor by saying:

Quote:
I’m pretty sure he’s already in development on one of these pitches…

So, it looks like we may not go too long before the next Halloween project is revealed. I would be OK with a TV show, albeit a little leery. But the big screen is where Michael shines. So, I anxiously await the next Halloween film. Hopefully with John Carpenter as composer and James Jude Courtney as The Shape! I always thought a black and white period film involving Michael Myers would be unique and fun.

What are you hoping for regarding the future of Halloween?
