Default Selecting Reciever for xbr4

OK....time for a new reciever......
Here is what I have now....

52"Sonyxrb4
SonyBDPS300
Yamaha HTR-5750 (6.1)
JBL SCS160 Speakers

I am pretty satisfied with the current reciever, and speakers...but I am sure I am missing a great deal with this set up....

Looking for a reciever and then ultimately speakers that will fit well with tv and blu-ray player. Especially do not want to lose the 120/24 feature of the xbr4.

Lots of discussion here about the onkyo 605/705, and the new Yamaha system.......

But this board helped me pick out my tv....and I am absolutely thrilled with it.
Lots of experts here.....I am sure you can help with this decision as well....

Thanks in advance.....

I have the same TV. I initially went for the Yama 3800 but was dissappointed with the perfrmance and sound and switched to the Pioneer 94 which is amazing. Just some food for thought.

I have the Onkyo 805 and it passes the 1080p/24 signal with no problems. Great reciever as well. I assume that since mine does, then the 605 and 705 will as well. I also know that the new Yamahas will pass 1080p/24 signals. Those are my recommendations, either the Onkyo 805 or the Yamaha RX-V1800.

Good price on the 805 right now as well.

$749.98 with no tax and free shipping from Vanns.

http://www.vanns.com/shop/servlet/it...ures/538999633

It shows $999, but you get the better price when you add it to your cart.

great information.........looks like I may be able to get what I need (not necessarily want)....for less than $1000, and have a great reciever that supports my xrb4 and bluray.

Now I need to study some of these recommendations........amazing what you can learn here.
