Keeping my fingers crossed that Second Sight or Umbrella release a 4K collector's edition of it. I wanna say one of them was posting about it for a theatrical run in their respective country.

Umbrella partnered up with Shudder to release it in Australia. It'll be a while for a physical release there though, since it doesn't come out in theaters til August. I think they'll definitely have a CE, but I wouldn't count on it being 4K.

This is one of the dullest films I've seen that, nonetheless, perfectly achieves what it sets out for. I guess I didn't realize how boring a (not) Friday the 13th movie from (not) Jason's perspective would be, but if you are curious, get this.

The gore effects are among the best I've ever seen, though.

Capelight just shipped my pre-order this morning.

Just watched the 4K Blu-ray and there is a defect on the English subtitles. When you turn them on in the main menu and pop-up menu it does not work, only the German subtitles appear. Not sure if this is just my copy or if this is on other 4K discs. Did not watch the Blu-ray yet to see if the same problem appears.
I thought the picture quality is average at best and the audio is lackluster.
Thought the movie was kinda boring too.

Just tried my copy, no English subs for the 4K disc, but they are on the standard BR disc.
Defeats the whole point of buying this release when you rely on subtitles!

Do Capelight have any history of doing disc replacements?

I confirm that the eng subs on the 4K disc is not working for me either.

I have e-mailed Capelight asking about this, but I don't have high hopes they will fix it. I will return it if need be. :-/

Is the bonus blu ray region free or locked?

For what it's worth, the included BD have english subs, and the timing seem to match the UHD.

Meaning, if I backup both discs and extract the subtitle track from the BD, it works fine of the UHD backup.

Not the same as a working disc, but I have little hope Capelight is gonna care about this. :-/

how does the english audio track sound?... as long as the dialogue is clear the lack of subs doesn't matter to me however it should be fixed for those that need or prefer it

I will buy the Blu-ray so that others can have their 4K release! Taking one for the team so to speak.
