I'd say "you do you" as there are no "official" thread rules, except perhaps as long the movie in question is screened/released new in 2025 somewhere.

I know some people rank movies they saw at festivals a whole year before the general public does.

2025 Theatrical Movies in theaters:

The Wolf Man: 4/5 A family man loses himself to a wolf-like morphing disease, putting his family at great risk for his poor judgment. Tense energy in 2nd half for horror.

Sonic 3: (2024 movie seen in theaters on Feb 1st 2025) 3/5 Much improved sequel and stayed on track with the story. Carrey's Laser Dance scene was entertaining. 2nd best in the series.

Captain America Brave New World 3D: 4/5 Action was good but wanted more of it. The story was interesting about hypnotizing people to do the villain's bidding, but could use trimming and more dire stakes. Sam Wilson as Captain was good.

The Monkey: 3/5 Final Destination type deaths which can be clever and a creepy monkey. Clear theme that death can be random, much like the random and mostly meaningless to the story deaths that occur throughout the thin story film of two conflicting brother twins with a cursed tinker Monkey drummer.

The Rule of Jenny Penn: 4/5 A slow paced horror film about a disabled Judged Senior entering the prison of an Elderly Nursing home, where an evil bully and his possessive Puppet await to haunt him and the residents each night.

The Day the Earth Blew Up Daffy/Porky/Petunia: 4/5 Looney Tunes meets Ren & Stimpy exaggeration with plenty of smiles, lots of gags and humor over the story of an alien trying to possess every human to chew zombifying bubble gum.

Snow White & Seven Dwarfs Live-Action: 3/5 2D Only, it expands the story considerably while changing some minor details, but is generally entertaining with some flaws and not a total trainwreck as many hoped. I would not have gone to see it if not invited with a free ticket, so my expectations were low. The original I still like better.

A Minecraft Movie 3D: 4/5 Minecraft never takes itself seriously and has fun with the very lite quest story. Minecraft is Napoleon Dynamite + Warcraft Movie + Lord of the Rings + Minecraft mixed into one movie. Entertaining and fast paced.
Jared Hess' style is on full display here as director.

Thunderbolts 3D: 4/5 Entertaining story with very good action of the team trying to help a self-destructive super hero villain not become corrupt. Medium 3D layers.

Mission Impossible: Final Reckoning: 4/5 The stakes were high if Ethan Hunt failed here, against the AI computer mind that had every other character explaining its next move instead of just creating an AI character to show instead of tell. The action, fights, stunts, submarine timed mission and airplane chase were epic and fun.

Ballerina: John Wick Story: 4/5 Intense action beautifully choreographed and shot, with lots of variety and while the story was an expected revenge one, the stakes were set for her to succeed or die. Really great action and John Wick has a good 15 minutes of action and screen time.

28 Years Later: 2/5 Great scenery in the story of a foolish, unskilled kid bringing his ill mother into the Hell of Rager land to find a demented bone collecting Doctor he hopes can help her... I was not able to root for this kid fool of a character despite his good intentions. He had no skills of survival, other than bargaining with friendly humans.

F1: 4/5 Fulfills an F1 fan's hope of lots of racing action in F1 cars for much of the film and stays focused on racing. Almost like a remake of Driven, but here Pitt is intentionally causing crashes to give his teammate the edge, but still entertaining.

Jurassic World 4 Rebirth 3D: 4/5 While the story has issues, there are some new and fun monsters and this feels like a fast paced sequel to the fun Kong: Skull Island. Medium 3D layers.

Superman 25 3D: 5/5 Story about Superman getting beaten up badly by not only Ultraman but also his loyal fans when he's set up by Lex. Great action, good casting and an entertaining film where Superman not only saves people, but animals like a squirrel too.

Fantastic Four 3D: 4/5 Good, simple and direct story about Sue on the verge of having a baby while the family battles the impending giant planet eater Galactus and the woman Surfer. The 3D was a great conversion with medium to strong 3D layers. A good movie even with some questions about the military and citizens left a mystery.

Naked Gun 2025: 3/5 Generally funny and a good movie, starring Liam Neeson as Frank Drebin Jr. matched alongside Pam Anderson. The jokes provoked chuckles, though nothing hilarious like the Leslie Nielsen originals for me with the baseball, government dinner or Academy Awards scenes. A good start though and most fans enjoyed it so far.

Weapons:
4/5 It really takes its time to get to the horror, and with each character, leaves new clues as to what is going on. A mysterious villain with plenty of personality to give the film more depth, and some really creepy moments and intensity. A cleverly told story with the different perspectives adding up.

Toxic Avenger 2025: 3/5 A slick, modern cinematic reboot of the classic Troma underdog character. Dinklage does a good job, but lacks some of the charm and humor of the original and cartoon versions. Some decent action moments and gory effects (some clearly CGI). Kevin Bacon and Eli Wood as the villains. Worth a watch to see but can't top the 1st and 2nd films.

(And a bunch more that I hope to see throughout 2025 in theaters to be determined.)
