Kino will be releasing Body Parts (1991) on 4K UHD on January 21st. The film will only come on 4K for this release as Shout! Factory still retains Blu-ray rights to it. It will include a Special Features Blu-ray only. The 4K will have a new HDR/DV master.

I like this movie-even though I am not a big fan of horror. I hope they throw in the deleted Gore scenes in it as well for some sort of unrated/director's cut.

Yeah, I got the Imprint a few years back, but since I got it for only about $12, and the transfer was pretty aged, this will be a worthy upgrade.

All prior BDs utilize a very old, but mostly solid Parampunt HD master. Even if the encode somehow shits the bed its will still be better than a 25+ yr old transfer.

Right before this was released in theaters, Jeffrey Dahmer was arrested. Paramount immediately stopped advertising for the movie.

A co-worker said that instead of pulling the ads, Paramount should have changed the title of the movie to Milwaukee's Best.

Looks like this got pushed back to a February 25 release date, quite some time ago. Now that's only just 9 days away. And yet, I still haven't seen anyone pop up with so much as an advance review copy. Any more word on the status of this 4k release?

Ive had my copy for a week or so but haven’t been in the mood for it.

I might watch it next weekend … it is a decent winter horror film.

Wow already a week ago? Where did you order from? Orbit hasn't shipped mine, and it's holding up about 6 other titles in the same order.

Orbit has been shipping my orders more and more slowly for the last several months, and I'm losing faith. Atomic, Gruv and others have been blowing them away lately, with getting early preorders in-hand well before street date, and with order turnaround in general...

Given the premium pricing of 4k boutiques it'd be nice to have remastered blu discs included. But regardless, it's nice to see more catalog upgrades.
