Real People who share names with Movie Characters

The names of movie characters are usually only meant to be associated with movie characters. But sometimes real people find they share names with a fictional movie character-for better or worse. Here are two examples:

Henry Wu

In the movie world, he's one of the genetic engineers at "Jurassic Park", and later at "Jurassic World". In the real world, he's a Rhodes Scholar. He received this honor in 2020 as a senior at The Ohio State University, at the Chicago History Museum.

The real Henry Wu looks a lot like the movie character Henry Wu.

Carrie White

In the movie world, she was crowned the queen of her high school prom. That didn't go well for her....or for most of her fellow prom attendees. In the real world, she was a prominent Hollywood hairdresser, doing hairstyles for Elizabeth Taylor, Elvis Presley, and Sandra Bullock. She wrote an autobiography called "Upper Cut: Highlights of my Hollywood Life" in 2011. Sadly, she passed away in 2022.

This raises a lot of questions about the real Henry Wu and the real Carrie White. Did the real Henry Wu ever read the "Jurassic Park" novel or see any of the movies based on it? Did the real Carrie White ever read "Carrie" or see any of the movies based on it? How did they cope with any jokes made to them about their fictional counterparts?
