I've always been a sucker for these. Somehow to me things like cursing are better in French than in English. On the one hand because it sounds more poetic and is more varied generally, on the other hand probably because I understand Molière's language better than Shakespeare's.
Here a selection of my all-time favourites: ![]() La grande vadrouille (1966, Don't Look Now... We're Being Shot At!) ![]() Buffet froid (1976, translated: Cold Buffet) ![]() Le père Noël est une ordure (1982, Santa Claus is a Stinker) ![]() C'est arrivé près de chez vous (1992, Man Bites Dog) ![]() Le pari (1997, The Bet) ![]() Le dîner de cons (1998, the film that inspired Dinner for Schmucks) ![]() Train de vie (1998, Train of Life) ![]() Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis (2008, Welcome to the Sticks) There are plenty of great ones more. What about guys? Are there any French language comedies you like? Last edited by ophone; 06-06-2024 at 11:52 PM. |
